CSA PROGRAM:

Our farm is offering farm pickup and a Lafayette/Carencro delivery at this time. If you would like to signup for our CSA program, see below.
We offer a CSA (community supported agriculture) program (also known as "the program") on our farm. Signup is open for the 2022 growing season for farm pickup and a Lafayette/Carencro delivery at this time.

Why join a CSA instead of just coming and purchasing your produce on a regular basis? The CSA Program is designed to help the local family farms survive without taking out loans at the beginning of each season. The local family farms are struggling more and more each year and this program allows us to sell shares in the crop ahead of time so that we will have the funds available to plant the crops. The past couple of years have been extremely hard and farmers are just trying to survive. If you become a member of the program as stated above you are purchasing a share of the upcoming crop in advance. The money received in advance for the shares purchased is to be used to help the farm with the initial crop expenses of that season. In exchange for your purchase of a share in advance and becoming a member of the program, you will have the benefit of having first pick of the top quality produce harvested from the farm. You will be given first option of all crops, including our specialty crops.

LAFAYETTE/CARENCRO DELIVERIES:

All CSA deliveries are packed the same with a variety of fresh produce that is producing at the time of delivery. (We cannot subsitute certain produce.) You may order additional items, if available, by noon on the day of the delivery. We are only offering a full CSA share ($200) for the Lafayette/Carencro deliveries. We will be doing the deliveries in eight (8) deliveries, which may not be consecutive. This just depends on the quantity needed to make these deliveries. Please provide me with a texting phone number so that I can reach everyone for delivery updates, etc. Deliveries will be on Mondays and the Lafayette pickup will be in the parking lot in front of the old Stage (near Rouses) on the corner of Bertrand and West Congress from 5-5:40 pm, and the Carencro delivery will be in the Super 1 parking lot near the gas station from 6-6:30 pm. We have to leave at 5:40 pm promptly to make it to the Carencro dropoff for 6 pm. If you miss us in Lafayette, you can pickup at the Carencro dropoff. If you cannot make it to either location the day of pickup, you can pickup all missed deliveries at the farm. With David and Barbara Richter's retirement, we have had a lot of interests in these deliveries. Once we have reached our limit, I will close signup. PLEASE INDICATE YOUR CELL NUMBER AND WHICH DELIVERY (LAFAYETTE/CARENCRO) IN THE COMMENT/INSTRUCTION WHEN PAYING.

FARM PICKUP:

We have tried several different ways of handling the CSA pickups, and we find that our members prefer to pick out their own veggies and get what they need as they need so we have been handling our farm pickups different the past couple of years. You have till the end of the growing season, which is usually by the end of July, to use the money in your membership account as a credit which has to be used up by the end of the growing season. You can place an order in advance of pickup or come by the farm to purchase what you want. If ordering ahead we ask that you order the morning of pickup by 9 a.m. which is opening time so that I do not miss order and this insures you have what you want waiting for you upon arrival. We are not carrying over balances from season to season, all accounts are zeroed at the end of the season. We suggest picking up on a weekly basis and not waiting so that you can enjoy all produce throughout the season.

All crops are not guaranteed due to Mother Nature, etc. We will do our best to have a large variety of produce available each week. Some of the produce that we hope to have available in 2022 are as follows: Tomatoes, cucumbers, several varieties of squash, eggplant, and peppers, cantaloupe, watermelon, corn, lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, okra, greens, radish, onions, potatoes, etc.

If you are interested in becoming a CSA member, by purchasing a share in the program below, you agree to all the terms and conditions mentioned above. Please make sure to fill in your contact information in the event we need to contact you. Farm pickups can begin pickups as soon as we have produce available for purchase. The deadline is March 31, 2022. I will contact everyone in the Lafayette/Carencro delivery for first delivery.
