We offer a CSA (community supported agriculture) program (also known as "the program") on our farm. Signup is open for the 2025 growing season for farm pickup only at this time.
Why join a CSA instead of just coming and purchasing your produce on a regular basis? The CSA Program is designed to help the local family farms survive without taking out loans at the beginning of each season. The local family farms are struggling more and more each year and this program allows us to sell shares in the crop ahead of time so that we will have the funds available to plant the crops. The past couple of years have been extremely hard and farmers are just trying to survive. If you become a member of the program as stated above you are purchasing a share of the upcoming crop in advance. The money received in advance for the shares purchased is to be used to help the farm with the initial crop expenses of that season. In exchange for your purchase of a share in advance and becoming a member of the program, you will have the benefit of having first pick of the top quality produce harvested from the farm. You will be given first option of all crops, and can place an order for same. I do not take orders for produce on the farm unless you are a CSA members.
FARM PICKUP:
We have tried several different ways of handling the CSA pickups, and we find that our members prefer to pick out their own veggies and get what they need as they need so we have been handling our farm pickups different the past couple of years. You have till the end of the growing season, which is usually in July, to use the money in your membership account as a credit which has to be used up by the end of the growing season. You can place an order in advance of pickup or come by the farm to purchase what you want. If ordering ahead we ask that you order the morning of pickup by 9 a.m. which is opening time so that I do not miss order and this insures you have what you want waiting for you upon arrival. We are not carrying over balances from season to season, all accounts are zeroed at the end of the season. We suggest picking up on a weekly basis and not waiting so that you can enjoy all produce throughout the season.
All crops are not guaranteed due to Mother Nature, etc. We will do our best to have a large variety of produce available each week. Some of the produce that we hope to have available in 2025 are as follows: Tomatoes, strawberries, cucumbers, several varieties of squash, eggplant, and peppers, cantaloupe, watermelon, corn, lettuce, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, greens, radish, onions, potatoes, snap beans, peas, figs, etc.
If you are interested in becoming a CSA member, by purchasing a share in the program, you agree to all the terms and conditions mentioned above. Please make sure to fill form below with your contact information in the event we need to contact you. You can purchase a share below, by choosing $100 (half share) or $200 (whole share) or in person and you will receive a csa card to use for your convenience. Farm pickups can begin as soon as we have produce available for purchase, which we estimate in March. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, or signup for text messages to know when we open up and what is available to you. The deadline for signup is February 29, 2025.
PLEASE INDICATE YOUR CELL NUMBER on the form below when paying for CSA share so that I have your contact information as it is not provided to me when paying for share.
Thanks everyone! We look forward to a great 2025 and have lots of exciting things happening on the farm this year.
